On November 21, immediately following the conclusion of the Group’s 46th Party Committee (expanded) Meeting for 2023, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration promptly convened a special meeting to convey the spirit of the meeting at the earliest opportunity. The purpose was to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, as well as the important instructions and requirements issued by provincial and group leaders, thereby further enhancing awareness, unifying thinking, and rallying everyone’s efforts. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration. Members of the Institute’s leadership team and heads of various departments attended the meeting.

The Fourth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee is a highly significant meeting convened at a critical juncture when we are deeply studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of Sichuan, and striving to write a new chapter for Sichuan’s modernization along the Chinese path. The session focused on thoroughly advancing integrated urban-rural development with county-level regions as a key entry point. This initiative represents concrete action to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on integrated urban-rural development and holds great significance for our province in forging a new path of urban-rural integration that meets the requirements of Chinese-style modernization and embodies Sichuan’s distinctive features.

We must delve deeply into study, conduct thorough research, and ensure effective implementation. We should integrate the study, publicity, and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee with the implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party and the series of important instructions by General Secretary Xi Jinping on Sichuan’s work. We must profoundly grasp the significant importance, rich implications, and practical requirements of promoting integrated urban-rural development, and consciously align our thinking and actions with the decisions and deployments of the Provincial Party Committee’s plenary session.
Meeting Requirements
We must earnestly strengthen safety management to ensure employees feel secure; enhance the competence and sense of responsibility of middle-level cadres so they can perform their duties with dedication; and guide the leadership team to deliver a strong finish in the fourth quarter, putting senior leaders at ease. The Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to focus on specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and technological advancement, fully leveraging geophysical exploration technologies in areas such as metallic and energy mineral exploration. Working in step with and in alignment with the Group, we will foster further progress in both the Group’s reform and development and the Institute’s own growth.
