Unite Hearts and Pool Strengths to Embark on a New Journey—Uphold Bottom Lines and Promote Development | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Holds a Meeting on Resumption of Work and Production, Safety, and Technical Quality for 2026
Spring ushers in a new journey, and practical action is paramount. To help all cadres and employees quickly refocus and get back on track, and to build consensus on development, on March 4, the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a meeting on resuming work and production, safety, and technical quality for 2026. The meeting was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute. Gu Zhiwen, member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, delivered the report on the institute’s work plan for resuming work and production, safety, and technical quality in 2026.
The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the “Emergency Notice from the Office of the Sichuan Provincial Safety Production Committee on Effectively Ensuring Safe Production Before and After the Spring Festival.” In addition, by watching safety education and warning videos, all participants deeply learned from past accidents and strengthened their ideological defenses against safety hazards. Each entity reported on topics including project resumption and restart plans, progress updates, this year’s goals and key tasks, and the major issues currently encountered. The leading officials in charge then made arrangements and deployments for the next phase of work.
The meeting emphasized that... We must swiftly transition from “holiday mode” to “work mode,” fully committing ourselves—with full energy and a pragmatic approach—to resuming production and business operations as well as all year-round tasks. We must firmly uphold the two bottom lines of safety and quality, build a solid foundation for development through practical actions and a sense of responsibility, and vigorously promote the high-quality development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, thereby making tangible contributions with our geophysical expertise to the Group’s efforts in building a first-class, resource-based, strategic, large-scale state-owned enterprise.
The meeting requested that, We must take the resumption of work and production as a key driver to coordinate and promote safety and technical quality efforts in an integrated manner. We need to quickly refocus and get back on track, conduct comprehensive inspections for potential hazards, strengthen safety education, and ensure that safety responsibilities are firmly implemented at all levels. In terms of safety work, we must stay committed to the “four-zero” goal and earnestly implement key measures such as solidifying responsibility assignment, strengthening targeted control, leveraging technology to enhance safety, and bolstering emergency preparedness. As for technical quality work, we should improve the management system, reinforce full-process control, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological innovations, and deepen the integration of technology and safety.
Members of the company’s leadership team, heads of departments and projects, safety management personnel, and key technical staff attended the meeting.
