On October 12, to advance the special campaign "Year of Capability Enhancement," the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, as the initiating organization of the Sichuan Geophysical Society, successfully hosted the second meeting of the first membership conference of the Sichuan Geophysical Society in a hybrid “online + offline” format. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary-General of the Sichuan Geophysical Society, and attracted a total of 202 participants.

Wang Xuben, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, delivered a welcoming address to the conference. The conference system reported on the Society’s work in areas such as organizational development, member recruitment, event implementation, science popularization efforts, and the establishment of the Party branch. In addition, the “Administrative Measures for Membership Dues of the Sichuan Geophysical Society (Draft for Trial Implementation)” was adopted.

The successful convening of this members’ conference marks a solid step forward for the Sichuan Geophysical Society in terms of standardizing organizational practices, scientific management, and professional service delivery. The key systems reviewed and approved at the conference, along with the clearly defined development directions, not only lay a robust foundation for the society’s own institutional development but also provide strong support for serving the advancement of geophysics in Sichuan and the western region and for promoting the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. This demonstrates the society’s confidence and determination to unite its broad membership and jointly drive progress in the industry.
