Geophysical Exploration Institute’s Aerial Geophysical Survey Project for the Motuo Highway in Tibet: Delivering Care, Boosting Morale, and Giving Party Lessons
Recently, Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, led a team to Motuo County in Tibet to visit and comfort the frontline technical staff who are conducting an airborne geophysical exploration survey for a certain highway project. He brought them refreshment and care, inspected and listened to briefings on the project’s overall situation, and delivered a profoundly meaningful special Party lesson.
Motuo County has a significant elevation difference and a highly complex natural environment and geological conditions, making the project task extremely challenging. The inspection team delivered heat-prevention and cooling supplies to the project headquarters, warmly chatted with the employees, and carefully inquired about their work and living conditions. They repeatedly emphasized the importance of safety and urged everyone to carry out their work while ensuring their own safety.
Subsequently, the inspection team listened to a progress report from the project leader, gaining a detailed understanding of the project’s technical challenges, work schedule, and the obstacles it is facing. The team also gave high praise for the achievements made by the project team in the earlier stages. Yu Changheng emphasized that the construction of this project is of great significance and plays a crucial role in improving local transportation conditions and promoting economic development. He urged everyone to continue upholding the spirit of hard work and勇于 innovation to ensure the smooth advancement of the project.
After the report, Yu Changheng delivered a special Party class to the project team members, thoroughly expounding on the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on June 24, 2024, at the National Science and Technology Conference, the National Science and Technology Awards Ceremony, and the Academicians’ Conference of the Two Academies. The Party class provided a clear and concise explanation of the strategic significance of building a science and technology powerhouse, the company’s responsibilities and mission in advancing scientific and technological development, and how to apply scientific and technological achievements to the project. He emphasized that everyone should take the goal of building a science and technology powerhouse as their guiding principle, continuously enhance their professional skills, employ innovative thinking to tackle challenges in the project, and contribute their technological expertise to the development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
This “Delivering Coolness” initiative, combined with the special Party class activity, not only enabled the project team to deeply feel the company’s heartfelt care but also reinforced their original aspirations and mission through a spiritual cleansing. Everyone expressed that they would transform this care into powerful motivation to overcome challenges, dedicating themselves to work with full enthusiasm, staying firmly committed to the mission of building a science-and-technology-powered nation, making every effort to achieve the project’s goals, and demonstrating their sense of responsibility and commitment through practical achievements.
