To support the Group’s trade union in carrying out the 2025 “Nature Care, Resource Support” growth program, on July 18, the Earth Doctor Mini-Class—carefully prepared by the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s trade union—made its way into the Group’s summer growth camp.

During the science popularization class, office director Liu Jing used vivid and relatable analogies to compare Earth to a “big apple,” explaining in simple and engaging terms Earth’s internal structure—including its scorching core, viscous mantle, and solid crust. The children listened with great enthusiasm. To help the children better understand geophysical exploration technology, Liu Yuzi from the Science and Innovation Center demonstrated two types of geophysical instruments and explained how this technology plays a crucial role in environmental protection and geological hazard early warning. Geophysical exploration is like giving Earth a “medical checkup”—it can detect groundwater contamination and potential geological hazards, thereby safeguarding our precious planet. The children were deeply fascinated by these amazing technologies and grew even more interested in Earth sciences.

Through videos of natural disasters, the children gained a deep understanding that our planet is facing serious challenges, such as climate change and deforestation. During the interactive session, the children actively participated and shared what they had learned from this lesson. They all expressed their commitment to start with themselves, care for the environment, and protect our planet.

The “Earth Doctor” mini-class not only enriched the summer lives of children but also planted a seed of love for our planet in their hearts. We hope that through activities like these, more children will join environmental protection efforts and work together to safeguard our beautiful Earth home.
