On April 18, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held the second (expanded) study session for the Party Committee’s theoretical study center group in 2025, as well as the closing ceremony of the study and education workshop on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulations. The meeting was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union. Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and General Manager, delivered a concluding speech. Members of the Institute’s Party Committee’s theoretical study center group and mid-level cadres attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on studying the Eight Provisions issued by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee regarding improving work styles and maintaining close ties with the masses; the list of issues violating the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight Provisions and their implementation rules; the list of covert and disguised problems in work styles; the Ten Provisions and implementation rules issued by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government; as well as excerpts from relevant policies aimed at implementing the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight Provisions. Members of the leading group engaged in exchanges and discussions around the theme: “Earnestly implement the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight Provisions and eliminate erroneous perceptions such as ‘the special status of enterprises’ and ‘the notion that minor matters are insignificant.’”

Implementing and carrying out the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulation is the key to and the guarantee for the Geophysical Exploration Institute to move from being “small but beautiful” to becoming “large and strong,” and to strive toward becoming a “National Specialized, Refined, and Novel ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise.” We must effectively translate our learning outcomes into concrete actions. All Party branches, departments, and project teams should, in light of their own actual work, conduct comprehensive self-checks and self-corrections by comparing their practices against the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulation and various disciplinary requirements. For any issues identified, we must establish detailed records, clearly define corrective measures and deadlines, and ensure that all problems are thoroughly addressed. At the same time, we must strengthen institutional development, further refine internal management systems and oversight mechanisms, and place power firmly within the cage of institutions, thereby ensuring that the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulation takes deep root and flourishes within the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
