The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its third theoretical study session and special seminar for the Party Branch’s theoretical study center group in 2023.

On May 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its third theoretical study session and special seminar for the Party Branch Theoretical Study Center in 2023. Members of the Institute’s Party Branch Theoretical Study Center attended the meeting, which was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager.

The meeting studied the report of the 20th National Congress of the Party, the “Selected Excerpts on the Worldview and Methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,” the “Outline for Studying Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,” and “On the Party’s Self-Revolution.”

After conducting centralized study, members of the core group engaged in a special seminar centered on “firmly grasping the worldview, methodology, and underlying stance, viewpoints, and approaches embedded in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.” Each member shared their insights and experiences, drawing on both their study and work practices.

Zhang Guangda emphasized that the members of the institute’s leadership team and leading Party members should take the thematic education as an opportunity to keep learning, deeply understand, accurately grasp, and effectively apply the worldview and methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era—the “golden key.” They should closely link these principles to the practical realities of the Geophysical Exploration Institute and to their own specific responsibilities, taking a hands-on approach and transforming scientific theories into a powerful force for strengthening their ideals, honing their Party spirit, guiding practical work, and driving progress. They should regard the “six musts” as essential guidelines for thinking about problems, making decisions, and carrying out tasks, thereby providing robust support for the orderly, effective, and high-quality development of all aspects of the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s work.
