On April 17, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the thematic education campaign to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The meeting was attended by members of the Institute’s leadership team, members of the Party Branch Committee, and Party members based in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.

Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Institute, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union, conveyed the remarks made by Xu Zhiwen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, and Liu Xin, Head of the 17th Touring Guidance Team of the Provincial Party Committee, at the Group’s meeting on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the Institute, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager, delivered a mobilization and deployment speech on the thematic education campaign to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

● Zhang Guangda emphasized:

We must focus on strengthening study and education. We should consistently read the original works, study the original texts, and deeply comprehend their underlying principles. We should also engage in both individual self-study and collective discussions, continuously using learning to forge our convictions and solidify our foundations.

We must carry out in-depth investigation and research. The hospital’s leadership team should, in conjunction with this year’s six key tasks, take the lead in tackling specific issues, go to the front lines, dive deep into the field, gain a thorough understanding of the real situation, and propose effective countermeasures. This will help us produce a batch of high-quality research findings and continuously enhance our wisdom through learning and refine our capabilities.

We must unswervingly promote high-quality development. Focusing on areas such as business bidding, project advancement, standardized management, safe production, and skills enhancement, we should seamlessly integrate thematic education with our core work to ensure the successful completion of this year’s goals and tasks.

We must focus on identifying and addressing issues. We should integrate problem rectification throughout the entire thematic education process, benchmark against standards, identify problems, compile lists, and conduct in-depth analysis.

We must deepen the establishment of rules and systems. We should combine “immediate rectification” with “long-term institutionalization,” adhering to the principles of addressing fundamental issues, promoting long-term benefits, and emphasizing practical effectiveness. We need to promptly formalize and institutionalize the good practices and valuable experiences gained during the thematic education, ensuring that they become standard and sustainable.

● Zhang Guangda’s requirements:

First, we must strengthen the implementation of responsibilities and foster synergy in our work. The hospital’s leadership team must fulfill its primary responsibility, while each Party branch secretary must assume specific responsibilities, thereby establishing a working framework characterized by “each level taking charge of the level below it and ensuring thorough implementation at every tier,” and effectively promoting the execution of responsibilities.

Second, we must strengthen overall coordination and pay close attention to synergistic advancement. We should further enhance our political awareness and sense of the bigger picture, resolutely prevent the “two separate tracks” phenomenon, ensure that we simultaneously pursue both tasks and promote mutual progress, and encourage Party members and cadres to translate the outcomes of education into tangible achievements in overcoming difficulties, tackling tough challenges, and getting things done.

Third, we must strengthen publicity and guidance to create a vibrant atmosphere. We should carry out publicity in a multi-dimensional, all-round, and comprehensive manner to foster a positive public opinion environment and promote the well-rounded development of the thematic education efforts.

Fourth, we must strengthen follow-up and supervision to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our work. We must firmly implement the Group’s work requirements, resolutely oppose and prevent formalism, and ensure that the thematic education yields tangible and substantive results.

After the mobilization and deployment meeting, members of the geophysical exploration institute’s leadership team simultaneously held study sessions as required by the group, conducting focused self-study in the conference room.
