The Geophysical Exploration Institute’s trade union held its Second Session of the 4th Members’ Congress.

On December 9, the second session of the 4th Congress of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration was held in Chengdu. The congress was chaired by Zou Zhongping, deputy secretary of the Party branch committee of the institute, member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and chairman of the trade union. A total of 64 union members from all positions across the institute attended the meeting.


At the meeting, Zou Zhongping delivered a report on the 2024 trade union work of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, covering five key areas: democratic management, protection of employees’ rights and interests, enhancement of employee quality, development of employee culture, and services provided to employees. Following the report, the conference proceeded with the 2024 “Member Evaluation of the Union” activity. The union members participating in the evaluation fully exercised their rights to express themselves, participate, and supervise, conducting a democratic assessment through anonymous voting. According to post-meeting statistics, the satisfaction rate among union members toward both the union chairman and the branch unions (union groups) reached 100%.
Zou Zhongping stated that the hospital’s trade union will further strengthen union development and enhance work efficiency.

First, we must strengthen learning to enhance the political quality and professional competence of trade union officials.

Second, we must further improve the democratic management system, broaden channels for democratic governance, and safeguard workers’ democratic rights.

Third, we must intensify efforts to safeguard workers’ rights and interests and maintain the stability of the workforce.

Fourth, we must strengthen the development of employee cultural initiatives, meet employees’ spiritual and cultural needs, and enhance their cohesion and sense of unity.

Fifth, we must further enhance our efforts to serve employees, care about their daily lives, and deliver tangible benefits and good deeds for them, striving to build harmonious labor relations.
