Zhang Guangda Conducts On-site Inspection and Guidance on the Key Projects of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
Since the beginning of this year, against the backdrop of reforms in geological exploration units, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has consistently balanced epidemic prevention with production, keeping our eyes on the road ahead while staying firmly committed to practical, hands-on work. All tasks are progressing smoothly, and the institute has successively signed several large-scale contracts. On-site projects are in full swing.
From March 28 to 30, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, led a delegation to Luzhou County, Jiangjin, Weiyuan, and other locations to inspect and provide guidance on several key projects.
Luzhou Block Coal Mine Goaf Electromagnetic Exploration Project

During the electrical method exploration project for goaf areas in three platform coal mines in the Luzhou block, Zhang Guangda, accompanied by technical staff from the project headquarters, visited a data collection point. There, he asked in detail about the progress of the construction and the application of the equivalent inverse magnetic flux transient electromagnetic instrument in this project. Zhang Guangda fully affirmed the work carried out so far and expressed his hope that the project team would steadily advance the construction schedule while ensuring safety and maintaining high technical quality. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening communication and coordination with the client and providing meticulous, attentive technical services to further enhance the project’s reputation.
Comprehensive Analysis Project on the Causes of Low Resistivity in the Western Chongqing Area

The comprehensive analysis project on the causes of low resistivity in the Longmaxi–Wufeng Formation within the Jiangye Exploration Well 1 area of the Yuxi Block is another large-scale geophysical contract—exceeding tens of millions of yuan—income for the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, following its previous success with the low-resistivity zone project in the Changning Block. During their visit to the project’s transmission and reception stations, the wellhead of Jiangye Exploration Well 1, and the Guangpu Syncline, among other survey sites, Zhang Guangda and his team listened to reports from the project team on epidemic prevention and control measures, work progress, technical quality, and safe production. Zhang Guangda fully commended the project team’s efforts since the start of the project and put forward three key requirements: First, conduct a comprehensive analysis of the geological data from the single known well, calibrate all regional data, and carry out thorough and detailed testing along the trial profile of Jiangye Exploration Well 1. Second, review each line immediately after its completion, hold collective meetings for discussion, leverage the strength of the entire team, and promptly finalize documents based on the integrated feedback from all project subgroups. Third, further strengthen awareness of on-site safety management, keep the “safety string” taut at all times, and pay special attention to forest fire prevention; construction personnel are strictly prohibited from bringing any sources of ignition into forested areas.
Weiyuan Chemical Industry Park Lingtie Mine Goaf Project

At the Lingtie Mine Goaf Project in the Weiyuan Chemical Industry Park, project team members are working alongside local residents to carefully inspect and confirm the locations of mine tunnels section by section. Since there are no actual maps or documentation available for the site, the team has had to rely on local residents who worked at the iron mine years ago to gather information. Many of the survey points are located on rugged, narrow paths that vehicles cannot access, so the team has been forced to conduct the site inspections on foot.
Zhang Guangda fully affirmed the project team members’ meticulous, rigorous, and hardworking work ethic, and put forward five key requirements: First, communicate closely with the client and promptly develop an implementation plan for the mined-out areas. Second, conduct thorough and solid investigations into the mined-out areas. Third, pay particular attention to the relationship between the survey line layout and the locations of the mined-out areas. Fourth, emphasize data collection and ensure the quality of the foundational data. Fifth, while ensuring both quality and quantity in completing production tasks, prioritize safety measures.
