On the morning of April 6, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special meeting to convey and implement the spirit of the Group’s 2022 Work Conference, the Conference on Integrity and Clean Governance, and the Conference on Safe Production. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, Deputy General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration. Attending the meeting were the leadership team of the Institute, members of the Party Branch Committee, all employees based in Chengdu, as well as representatives from the Chongqing West Low-Resistance Detection Project Team and the Luzhou Fracturing Electromagnetic Monitoring Project Team (via video conference).

At the meeting, Gu Zhiwen, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, conveyed the spirit of the Group’s 2022 Work Conference on Safety Production.

Discipline inspection officer Xie Mingxi conveyed the spirit of the Group’s 2022 meeting on building Party conduct and integrity.

Yu Changheng, Deputy General Manager and CFO of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, briefed on the company’s production and operational performance for the first quarter.

Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, conveyed the spirit of the Group’s 2022 Work Conference and made arrangements for tasks related to fulfilling the economic target responsibility letter signed with the Group.

Zhang Guangda emphasized that, first, we must focus on improving the quality of development, maintain steady growth in economic indicators, and continuously boost our resilience and vitality. In 2022, the Geophysical Exploration Institute launched 12 new projects and continued 27 ongoing projects. With a large number of projects and heavy workloads, we must continue to implement refined project management and deliver high-quality reports and results.

Second, we will strengthen the building of Party conduct and integrity, fostering a work environment characterized by honesty and integrity, and strictly upholding the bottom line of integrity and self-discipline. The Geophysical Exploration Institute will further fulfill its primary responsibility for maintaining stability, earnestly implement the principal responsibility of the Party Secretary as the first person in charge, and ensure that all members of the leadership team shoulder their dual responsibilities for both their posts and Party discipline. At the same time, we will properly approach reform and adjustments, maintain steady operations and production, continuously enhance the sense of discipline among cadres and employees, and remain proactive and courageous in taking on responsibilities, thereby providing strong disciplinary guarantees for the stable development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.

Third, we must strengthen our sense of responsibility and urgency in safety production, constantly remain vigilant, and strictly uphold the red lines for safety production. Based on the specific conditions of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, we will carry out targeted special rectifications focusing on field projects, road traffic safety, and radioactive sources, thereby elevating the overall level of safety work. We will further deepen the “safety responsibility checklist system,” breaking down and implementing safety production responsibilities at all levels, integrating annual safety production goals into operational activities, and ensuring their effective implementation across all departments, project teams, and individual employees. We must firmly establish the concept of safe development and meticulously implement all safety measures under the new normal of epidemic prevention and control.

Fourth, we must seize the opportunities presented by reform, working in step with and under the leadership of the Party and administration of the Group, and joining forces to forge ahead. We should use technological innovation to drive enterprise development, continue to focus on key areas and maintain sustained efforts, learn from and introduce advanced technologies, equipment, and software for geophysical exploration in the oil and gas sector—both domestically and internationally—and benchmark ourselves against leading enterprises to deepen cooperation. At present, the Group’s reform and development have entered the “second half” phase. We need to shift our mindset, build confidence, fulfill our duties conscientiously, and work together to fully leverage our respective roles and positions, thereby helping the Group and the Institute of Geophysical Exploration embark on a fast track toward high-quality development.
