Geophysical Exploration Institute’s “Safety Production Month” Activity Briefing
June 2022 marked the 21st National “Safety Production Month.” To strengthen safety production publicity and education, firmly establish the concept of safe development, and enhance the overall safety and civility awareness of all employees, the Geophysical Exploration Institute, during the “Safety Production Month,” closely focused on the theme “Comply with the Safety Production Law and Take the Lead as the Primary Person in Charge,” and, in light of current key priorities in safety production work, carried out a series of in-depth activities related to Safety Production Month.
Closely monitor key milestones and create a conducive atmosphere.
On June 1, the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a launch ceremony for Safety Production Month. All staff members watched the special documentaries “Safety Education and Warning” and “Life Is Precious as Mount Tai,” and participated in quizzes on safety production-related knowledge. The institute is striving to enhance everyone’s awareness of safety production and improve their ability to identify and mitigate risks, while also fostering a strong atmosphere of publicity and education.
Eliminate hidden dangers and prevent risks.
On June 2, the Equipment Safety Supervision Department and the Office of the Geophysical Exploration Institute organized an indoor safety inspection ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival, identifying potential hazards at the source to effectively carry out risk prevention and eliminate safety risks.
On June 5, 17, and 18, a safety inspection team led by Zhang Guangda, Party Branch Secretary, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, conducted safety awareness campaigns at frontline projects and carried out safety inspections of equipment and vehicles.
Simulate drills based on actual conditions.
On June 9, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration invited a lecturer from the Fire Safety Promotion Center to give a briefing to cadres and employees working in Chengdu on fire safety knowledge, self-rescue and escape techniques, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. This initiative aims to enhance everyone’s awareness of fire safety and plays an important role in popularizing fire safety knowledge and improving employees’ ability to protect themselves and rescue others.
Implement logistics and ensure safety.
Properly manage the financial and vehicle safety of the geophysical exploration institute, strengthen equipment inspections, and maintain and service office and living facilities and equipment to ensure that vehicles and facilities operate normally.
This promotional campaign has further enhanced all employees’ awareness of safe production, strengthened their sense of safety precautions, and popularized basic knowledge of safe production. It represents a valuable practice in safety education and helps deepen the concept of safe development among everyone, fostering an atmosphere of “complying with the Law on Safe Production and taking the lead as the primary person responsible.”
