On July 25, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized a symposium on production and operation work for the first half of 2022. Attending the meeting were members of the institute’s leadership team, members of the Party Branch Committee, and heads of various departments and entities. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.

At the symposium, the Business Audit Department presented a report on the operational performance of the Geophysical Exploration Institute. In the first half of this year, the Institute carried out a total of 81 projects, including 50 ongoing projects and 31 completed projects. According to the task assignment signed at the beginning of the year between the Institute and the Group, the Institute has currently achieved 48% of its target for operating revenue and 30% of its profit target. Moreover, the Institute has maintained zero production accidents, ensured that quality standards were met, and conducted epidemic prevention efforts in an orderly manner.

Subsequently, heads of various departments delivered individual speeches focusing on production and operations, safety management, technical quality, and other related areas. They systematically reported on the progress made in the first half of the year, highlighted key challenges encountered, and outlined their plans for the next phase of work. The leadership team of the Geophysical Exploration Institute also delivered targeted remarks on their respective areas of responsibility.

Zhang Guangda listened carefully to the presentations and frequently engaged in exchanges and discussions with the speakers on related issues. After hearing the reports, Zhang Guangda affirmed the achievements made by various departments in their operational work during the first half of the year, while also pointing out existing shortcomings and putting forward specific requirements for carrying out the next phase of work.

First, under the unified leadership of the Group, we must explore new areas and identify new growth drivers, further strengthen our market presence, continuously seek out new projects, and excel in tendering and bidding activities. While systematically organizing production, coordinating efforts to enhance efficiency, and making every possible effort to ensure steady growth, we must also focus on collecting payments from completed projects. By the end of December this year, we must assign specific responsibilities to individuals and ensure that the collection of payments for all completed creditor projects is carried out item by item.

Second, continue to thoroughly implement the management system—especially the “Two Forms and One Document” system—to ensure project profitability and allow those who work harder to earn more.

Third, conduct a six-month summary of project quality and safety efforts, highlight strengths, address shortcomings, continuously make improvements and refinements, and further enhance the level of quality and safety work.

Fourth, while making full use of the institute’s core strengths—such as wide-field electromagnetic exploration, fracture monitoring, near-surface geological risk prediction for shale gas using electromagnetic methods under complex geological conditions, well logging, seismic exploration, geophysical prospecting, and water conservation—to carry out project production effectively, we should also engage in deep reflection, scientific planning, and proactive action to ensure the successful commercialization of research findings.

Fifth, we will strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures as well as safety production management, rigorously enforce accountability, and adopt a pragmatic approach and meticulous attitude to spare no effort in preventing epidemics and accidents, thereby ensuring that the hospital’s overall safety production situation remains consistently stable.

Sixth, we must carry forward the fine traditions and work style of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, fully mobilize employee enthusiasm, and submit a satisfactory set of results to the Group by year-end, thereby welcoming the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party with concrete actions.
