Sichuan Resources Geophysical Exploration Deeply Studies and Implements the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Letter.
At 9:00 a.m. on October 14, Sichuan Resource Geophysical Exploration, as a director unit of the Chinese Geophysical Society, participated in the academic seminar organized by the Chinese Geophysical Society to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply to all geological workers of the Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. During the online session, we listened to the lecture titled “Exploration Achievements and Theoretical Methods for Deep-Source Gold Deposits in Jiaodong,” delivered by Song Mingchun, chief expert of the former Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. The report provided a detailed introduction from three major perspectives: new discoveries in deep-source gold exploration in Jiaodong, theoretical insights into deep-source exploration, and methods for exploring deep-source gold deposits. Covering both theory and practice, it presented numerous case studies, offering rich theoretical support and valuable experience for geological exploration work and proving highly instructive.
Sichuan boasts a complex geological structure, favorable ore-forming conditions, abundant mineral resources, and a comprehensive variety of minerals, making it a major province in the western region—and indeed nationwide—dedicated to the production and processing of mineral raw materials. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply has not only bolstered geologists’ confidence and motivation to achieve breakthroughs in mineral exploration but has also clarified our future development direction. The Institute of Geophysical Exploration possesses specialized techniques such as wide-field electromagnetic methods, electromagnetic prospecting, airborne geophysical surveys, well logging, and seismic exploration, and is equipped with a large number of high-tech devices. In future mineral exploration efforts, we can fully leverage our technological strengths to provide crucial, foundational technical support for mineral discovery.
After online learning, the participants from the Geophysical Exploration Institute shared their personal experiences, discussed their responsibilities, set goals, and outlined specific measures, all with great enthusiasm, as they continued to delve deeper into studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply. Meanwhile, our institute’s technical staff will take all the geological workers of the Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources as role models, identifying gaps, addressing shortcomings, strengthening weak areas, and promoting continuous improvement. As the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China draws near, we will sustain the momentum of studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply, firmly keep in mind his earnest instructions, remain true to our original aspirations, forge ahead with determination, and greet the successful convening of the 20th National Congress with concrete actions.
