The Geophysical Exploration Institute held an exchange and discussion meeting with the Geological Mining Group.
To further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with sister organizations, on November 7, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, led a delegation to pay a return visit to Sichuan Provincial Geological and Mineral (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Geology and Mineral Group). During the visit, the delegation held an exchange and discussion meeting with members of the leadership team, including Zhang Jingsong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Geology and Mineral Group; Luo Qibiao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman; and Yang Shuyi, Member of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager.

Zhang Guangda and his delegation first extended their heartfelt congratulations on the successful renewal of the mining license for the Dachangcao Rare Earth Mine of the Geological and Mineral Group and the substantial expansion of its production scale—a momentous and joyous occasion. Zhang Guangda stated that the Geological and Mineral Group is a benchmark enterprise for the strategic exploration and development of mineral resources by the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group (hereinafter referred to as the Group). It is also the only provincial state-owned enterprise in the province holding rights to rare earth mines and qualified to engage in rare earth development, enjoying an important position and high influence in the rare earth industry. The successful renewal of the mining rights and the expansion of the Dachangcao Rare Earth Mine will serve as a powerful boost to the high-quality development of the Group’s rare earth industry. As a newly emerging, technology-driven, innovative geophysical comprehensive service enterprise, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has accumulated rich experience and achieved remarkable results in the exploration and application of new technologies and methods. In particular, the establishment of the Sichuan Office of the Chinese Geophysical Society and the pilot unit for science and technology promotion have provided even stronger impetus for effectively pooling geophysical technology resources within Sichuan Province and accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements into high-quality productive forces.
Zhang Jinsong stated that the Geological and Mining Group has an urgent need for geophysical exploration in areas such as deep exploration of metallic mineral deposits and green mine construction. He expressed hope that the two organizations could join forces, leveraging their respective strengths and complementing each other's advantages, identify synergies in deep mineral exploration and resource assessment, use specific projects as a platform for collaboration, work together in solidarity, and jointly assume the primary responsibility for the exploration and development of science-and-technology-driven strategic mineral resources across the province, thereby making significant contributions to the Group’s mission.
Yang Hua, member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Geology and Mining Group; Yan Yan, Director and Chief Financial Officer; Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute; Yu Changheng, member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Financial Officer; as well as responsible officials from relevant departments, attended the exchange.
