The Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized a viewing of the 12th Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province.

At 9:00 a.m. on May 27, 2022, the 12th Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province was solemnly opened in Chengdu. The Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized its leading team based in Chengdu, members of the Party branch committee, branch secretaries, and party members as well as active candidates to watch the live broadcast together in the institute’s conference room. Meanwhile, party members and cadres working on the production frontlines also watched the broadcast simultaneously via mobile phones, computers, and other devices at their respective project sites.

Everyone listened attentively to the report delivered by Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the 11th Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province. We feel deeply proud of the historic achievements Sichuan has made over the past five years in pursuing high-quality development, and we are greatly inspired and encouraged by the vision for development outlined for the next five years.

After watching the live broadcast, everyone expressed their commitment to further elevating their perspectives, taking the lead by setting a good example, deeply studying and thoroughly understanding the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress, and effectively aligning their thoughts and actions with its guiding principles. They pledged to integrate the spirit of the Party Congress with the practical realities of geophysical exploration work, turning their learning outcomes into concrete actions and driving the Institute of Geophysical Exploration toward high-quality development.

As Party members in the geological exploration industry, we must firmly seize the golden opportunities presented by national strategies such as the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. We should take the lead in providing geological exploration services for infrastructure projects, serve as pioneers in identifying and developing mineral resources for economic development, and act as guardians of our green mountains and clear waters in environmental conservation efforts. With even greater vigor and enthusiasm, we will strive tirelessly to achieve the economic development goals set forth in the next Five-Year Plan and to build our province into a livable and prosperous home that satisfies the people.

Over the past five years, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has continuously forged ahead with pioneering spirit and achieved remarkable results. However, we must not be content with the status quo. Instead, we should continue to study and implement thoroughly the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, shoulder the great responsibility of governing Sichuan and revitalizing its development in the new era, remain firm in our convictions, and strive tirelessly to build a new Sichuan that is strong, beautiful, prosperous, and civilized. Today, as we were conducting fracking operations on the project, we watched the opening session of the 12th Provincial Party Congress on our mobile phones. After watching the opening ceremony, we deeply appreciated the remarkable achievements Sichuan has made over the past five years. As Party members, we must firmly uphold the correct stance, diligently perform our duties, strive to take on responsibilities and set exemplary standards, and fully demonstrate the leading role of Party members.

The 12th Provincial Party Congress of Sichuan Province is an extremely important meeting held at a critical juncture—just as Sichuan embarks on a new journey toward fully building a modern socialist Sichuan and eagerly anticipates the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. At present, Sichuan’s development has reached a new historical starting point, with broad prospects and a promising future. The in-depth implementation of national strategies—including the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, the Belt and Road Initiative, the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the new round of Western Development in the new era, and the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor—is further strengthening Sichuan’s strategic momentum for development. As a young Party member and a young geophysical explorer, we must always maintain high spirits, remain grateful and strive forward with determination, overcome difficulties with courage, integrate our personal value into the greater social good, and tirelessly fight for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist Sichuan.

After watching the live broadcast, I was not only deeply inspired but also keenly aware of the responsibility resting on my shoulders. As a staff member of a geological exploration unit, I profoundly realize that ideals and beliefs are the primal driving force, while our duties and mission serve as an armor of will. In my future work, I will certainly study diligently and earnestly implement the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress, using it as a guiding light to continue deepening my engagement in my current position, enhancing my capabilities, and honing my genuine skills. Together with everyone else, I will contribute my part to propelling Sichuan’s governance and development into a new stage in the new era and to fully building a modern, socialist Sichuan.
