On the morning of June 6, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special meeting to study and implement the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute. Attending the meeting were the leading team of the Institute based in Chengdu, heads of various departments, all party members, as well as representatives from the Testing Center, the Y206 Well Project Team, and the Y251 Well Project Team—each participating via video conference—for the electromagnetic monitoring project of hydraulic fracturing.

Before the meeting, everyone independently studied the report delivered by Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, at the 12th Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province. During the meeting, three Party member representatives shared their views and exchanged ideas, drawing on the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress and relating them to their own work.

As the reform of geological exploration units steadily advances, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has entered a new historical era, while also facing new circumstances and tasks. First, we must keep in mind the heavy trust placed in us, diligently fulfill our duties, and consistently maintain a spirit of vigor and determination. Second, we must take a broader view, focus on the central tasks, and earnestly shoulder the important responsibility of promoting the healthy development of the geophysical exploration sector. Third, we must lead by example, work tirelessly and with dedication, and always uphold a high-quality work ethic.

In my future work, I will remain firmly rooted in my current position, guiding my practical work with the spirit of the Party Congress and putting that spirit into action through concrete deeds. First, I must continuously enhance my ideological and political awareness, placing the study of the Party Congress spirit at the forefront of my priorities. Second, I must constantly improve my professional competence and work standards, being adept at pioneering and innovating in my work, proposing new ideas and insights, and steadily elevating my work performance. Third, I must continually boost my enthusiasm for work and its efficiency. I will conscientiously fulfill my duties with dedication and diligence, strictly adhering to my responsibilities, giving my all, and devoting myself wholeheartedly to every task.

Taking this Party Congress as an opportunity for study, I will delve deeply into the report, thoroughly grasp its rich content and essential spirit, and, in light of my own work, put the spirit of the Party Congress into practice through concrete actions—studying it well, publicizing it effectively, and ensuring its full implementation. I will also fulfill my responsibilities diligently. I must strengthen my own learning, conduct myself with integrity and sincerity, and approach my work with diligence and hard work. Upholding the spirit that “I am just a brick—wherever I’m needed, there I’ll go”—I will actively demonstrate the exemplary role of a Party member, follow the organization’s arrangements, and rush to wherever our support is most urgently required.

First, we must actively integrate into the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group. Further strengthen communication and exchanges with the leading officials in charge and the relevant departments. In the upcoming research work, we should accurately reflect the working conditions of the Geophysical Exploration Institute—highlighting our strengths while also addressing our shortcomings.

Second, we need to further strengthen our efforts in operational management and project management. While continuing to oversee ongoing projects, we must also carefully review old accounts and non-performing receivables, proactively develop this year’s collection plan, and rigorously ensure the safety and quality of all projects, thereby guaranteeing a high pass rate for reports.

Third, we must focus on scientific research projects and core technologies, leveraging innovation-driven development to forge competitive advantages. We need to promote comprehensive, multi-sectoral, and in-depth open cooperation, using technological innovation to lead the Geophysical Exploration Institute toward high-quality development.

Fourth, we must put real effort into study and publicity. All Party branches and departments should promptly align their thinking and actions with the decisions and deployments of the Group Party Committee, strengthen organizational leadership, and carefully plan and arrange activities. Through forms such as “Three Meetings and One Class,” themed Party days, special study sessions, and symposiums and exchanges, we should widely carry out distinctive study and publicity campaigns, swiftly sparking a vigorous wave of learning, intense publicity, and practical action centered on the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress.

Fifth, we must demonstrate strong commitment and responsibility in our work and entrepreneurial endeavors. The leadership team of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, senior managers, and department heads should calm their minds, roll up their sleeves, pursue truth and pragmatism, and get down to business with genuine dedication. They should lead by example, set a positive tone, and inspire and motivate all employees to align their thoughts and pool their efforts together, working in unison to drive development and foster a positive atmosphere characterized by shared goals, concerted action, and heartfelt commitment.
