The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its fourth theoretical study session and special seminar for the Party Branch Theoretical Study Center Group in 2023.
On June 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special study session for its Party Branch Theoretical Study Center Group, focusing on “continuously enhancing political, thinking, and practical capabilities,” as well as “keeping in mind the Party’s instructions, being grateful, and striving forward.” The session also included a thematic discussion and exchange centered on studying and applying the exemplary cases of the “Ten Million Project” and the “Pujiang Experience.” The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager. All members of the Institute’s Party Branch Theoretical Study Center Group attended the session, and key heads of various departments were invited to observe.
At the meeting, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the hospital, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union, led the study of selected chapters from “Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Statements on Investigation and Research” and “Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.” He also reviewed the Communiqué of the Third Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province, as well as the experiences of Zhejiang’s “Pujiang Experience” and the “Ten Million Project.”
The meeting emphasized that studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era should be closely integrated with thoroughly understanding and internalizing the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Sichuan’s work. We must keep his instructions firmly in mind, remain grateful and forge ahead with renewed vigor, and translate our earnest study into concrete actions. Drawing on Zhejiang’s “Pujiang Experience” and the “Ten Million Project” experience, we should strive to further enhance Sichuan’s golden brand in geophysical exploration, thus contributing to opening up a new chapter of high-quality development in the field of geophysical exploration.
The meeting called for two key points: First, we must elevate our political awareness. We need to earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important instructions on Sichuan’s work, and effectively study and apply Zhejiang’s “Ten Million Project” and the “Pujiang Experience,” transforming these learning outcomes into a powerful driving force for solving problems, enhancing our work, and promoting development. Second, we must emphasize the integration of learning, thinking, practice, and understanding. We should use the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches to fortify our minds and guide our practice, gain insight into underlying principles and clarify our direction from the Party’s scientific theories, further refine our working methods, and overcome the challenges facing geophysical exploration development.
At the meeting, Zou Zhongping and Liu Jinhui delivered keynote speeches, while other colleagues shared their insights from the study.
