The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special research meeting on comprehensively strengthening Party governance, building Party conduct and integrity, and combating corruption.
On June 29, the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a special study meeting on comprehensively strengthening strict Party governance, building Party conduct and integrity, and combating corruption. The meeting was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch Committee, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union, and was attended by members of the Institute’s Party Branch Committee and mid-level cadres.
The meeting featured a focused screening of the cautionary educational film “The Corporate Journey.” Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the Institute, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager, analyzed and assessed the current situation regarding the institute’s comprehensive and strict governance, integrity building, and anti-corruption efforts. He identified existing problems and outlined directions for future efforts.
Zhang Guangda emphasized the following three points: First, we must steadfastly carry out political oversight. We should adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as our guiding principle, deeply recognize the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments,” enhance our “Four Consciousnesses,” firmly uphold our “Four Confidences,” and ensure “Two Safeguards.” We must also uphold comprehensive and strict governance of the Party and maintain a serious and disciplined intra-Party political life. Second, we must promote the implementation of responsibilities. We must faithfully and fully carry out all tasks as required by the Party Committee of the Group and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Group, consistently placing Party conduct and integrity building high on the institute’s agenda and rigorously implementing the “Two Responsibilities.” Third, we must forge synergy in comprehensively strengthening Party governance. We must persistently focus on improving work styles, strengthen intra-Party supervision and disciplinary enforcement, and rigorously ensure the effective implementation of all tasks.
Zou Zhongping analyzed the Party’s integrity and anti-corruption efforts within the institute as well as the problems encountered in the performance of duties, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. First, the institute’s discipline inspection organization will further strengthen its supervision over “leading officials” and leading teams. Second, it will organize and carry out effective publicity and education on Party integrity and anti-corruption efforts, integrating the study of Party integrity with practical production activities. Third, it will focus on key areas and critical links such as project management, fund utilization, and equipment procurement within the institute, fully leveraging the role of “supervision of supervision.”
