The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a 2024 New Employee Onboarding and "Mentor-Apprentice" Conference.
On August 27, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a welcome meeting for new employees joining in 2024 and a “Mentor-Apprentice” program kickoff event. The purpose of this meeting is to help new employees integrate more quickly into the team, clarify their career development paths, and, through the “mentor-apprentice” mechanism, promote the comprehensive enhancement of both their professional skills and overall competencies.
At the meeting, newly hired employees introduced themselves one by one, and Li Dong, the representative of the new employees, delivered a statement. Members of the leadership team then offered their words of encouragement, saying: “The world is vast, the road ahead is long, the stage is grand, and our youth is full of promise. We hope that the new employees will work in unison with the organization and keep pace with the times, embracing the sun and soaring high.”
Mentorship
Following that, the third “Mentor-Apprentice” signing ceremony of the Geophysical Exploration Institute was held. Twelve mentor-apprentice pairs completed their mutual selections and signed “Mentor-Apprentice” agreements. Each agreement signed symbolizes a commitment and a sense of responsibility. The mentors will take on the important task of imparting skills and guiding their apprentices’ growth, while the apprentices, with humble and eager attitudes, will strive to enhance their professional competence.
After the meeting, heads of various departments conducted training for newly hired employees on topics including corporate culture, document and system management, financial reimbursement, safety and quality management, business operations, and reminders on integrity in professional conduct.
Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union, chaired the meeting. Heads of various departments and entities, as well as newly hired employees within the past two years, also attended the meeting.
