The Qingyang District Federation of Trade Unions, the Caotang Subdistrict Federation of Trade Unions, and the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a symposium for model workers and skilled craftsmen on May 1, 2024.
On April 30, on the eve of the International Labor Day on May 1, Sun Huili, a member of the Party Committee of Caotang Subdistrict and Secretary of the Party Committee of the government office, led a delegation representing the Qingyang District Federation of Trade Unions and the Caotang Subdistrict Federation of Trade Unions to hold the 2024 “May Day” Symposium for Model Workers and Craftsmen with the Institute of Geophysical Exploration. During the symposium, they extended condolences to the institute’s four “Qingyang Craftsmen” and presented each craftsman with flowers and gifts of appreciation.
At the symposium, Yu Changheng, a skilled artisan from Qingyang, introduced to Sun Huili and her delegation the science and technology innovation studios led by four artisans from the Geophysical Exploration Institute, as well as the Institute’s plans for talent development and the construction of research and innovation platforms.
Sun Huili expressed her appreciation for the achievements made by the Geophysical Exploration Institute in various aspects of its work, particularly in talent development. She encouraged them to stay true to their original aspirations, face challenges head-on, and play a leading and exemplary role, thus making new contributions to the economic and social development of Caotang. She also urged them to cherish their honor, keep up the good work, and continue to uphold the spirit of taking responsibility, striving for excellence, and creating extraordinary lives even in ordinary positions. At the same time, she hoped that the Geophysical Exploration Institute, as an enterprise driven by new-quality productivity, would join forces with the Qingyang District Federation of Trade Unions and the Caotang Subdistrict to organize thematic activities such as "Visiting Classrooms" and science-based study tours, bringing geological exploration into the spotlight of more people and inspiring more individuals to dedicate themselves to the cause of natural resource management and ecological conservation.
