Recently, the Women Workers’ Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions released a notice on the exemplary achievements of the 2023 “Rose Book Fragrance” national theme reading campaign for female workers. The trade union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute was honored with the “Rose Book Fragrance—Outstanding Female Worker Reading Organization Award” for 2023.

Meanwhile, Liu Jing, Director of the Women Workers’ Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s Trade Union, was awarded the title of “Outstanding Individual in Implementing the Outline for the Development of Women and Children within the Sichuan Provincial Trade Union System.”

Women’s and children’s work is an important component of trade union activities. Over the years, the trade union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has devoted considerable effort and care to strengthening ideological and political guidance for female employees, encouraging them to achieve career success, and providing effective rights protection services—with remarkable results. For many consecutive years, the union has consistently organized “Rose Fragrance and Books” themed reading events, continuously empowering all female employees within the institute. It has also pragmatically promoted initiatives such as building happy职工 families and showing care for职工 children on June 1st, thereby fostering the healthy growth of workers’ children. Moreover, the union has carried out in-depth legal awareness campaigns for female employees, engaged in collective bargaining, and conducted risk assessments of enterprise employment practices, thus reinforcing the protection and safeguarding of female employees’ rights and interests. Additionally, the union actively organizes health education lectures to ensure that female employees’ special rights are adequately protected.

Winning both awards this time is a well-deserved recognition of the trade union’s work at the Geophysical Exploration Institute. Moving forward, the Institute will continue to earnestly implement the state’s overall plans for work related to women and children, and will, in accordance with the law, safeguard the legitimate rights and special interests of female employees. The Women’s Committee of the Institute’s trade union will treat studying and implementing the “Two Guidelines” as a key priority, truly assuming its principal responsibility and making every effort to ensure that all tasks are effectively carried out, thoroughly implemented, and meticulously refined, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute under Sichuan Resources Group.
