Safety Production Month | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Holds the 2024 Annual Driving Safety Training Conference
To effectively carry out the publicity work for the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s “Safety Production Month,” strengthen road traffic safety education, enhance the road safety awareness and civilised conduct of all cadres and employees, and improve the Institute’s inherent safety level, the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a 2024 Driving Safety Training Conference on the morning of June 14. The conference invited the Third Detachment of the First Division of the Highway Public Security Bureau of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department to deliver the traffic safety training.
Travel safely, and observe civility and etiquette.

At the meeting, Deng Bo, deputy captain of the Third Squadron of the First Division of the Highway Public Security Bureau of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department, took common traffic safety accidents—such as vehicle rollovers, rear-end collisions, and distracted driving incidents—as examples. Using a “case-based legal education and example-driven warnings” approach, he conducted a thorough analysis of the causes behind each accident, explained the consequences resulting from these accidents, clarified the determination of liability, and outlined the correct response measures to take following a traffic accident, thereby providing attendees with a vivid and engaging traffic safety training session.

Li Yang, an accident investigator from the Third Squad of the First Division of the Highway Public Security Bureau of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department, addressed the increasingly frequent phenomenon of distracted driving—such as using mobile phones or smoking while driving. Using a major traffic accident he personally handled as an example, Li explained the dangers of distracted driving. He reminded everyone that after a traffic accident occurs, you should pull the vehicle to the side of the road, evacuate all occupants, and immediately call the police. While ensuring your own safety, place a triangular warning sign 150 to 200 meters ahead in the direction of oncoming traffic to prevent secondary injuries.
“Roads may be countless, but safety comes first.” The recent driving safety training session has served as a wake-up call for all employees of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, effectively enhancing their awareness of traffic safety. In the days ahead, the institute will continue to consistently and diligently carry out traffic safety education and training, ensuring that every employee consciously complies with traffic regulations and actively serves as both an advocate and a practitioner of traffic safety.
