The national mobilization and deployment meeting for the education and rectification of the discipline inspection and supervision cadre team was held in Beijing on February 24. Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized that discipline inspection and supervision agencies at all levels must thoroughly study and implement the important speeches, instructions, and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping, resolutely carry out the work arrangements made at the Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and earnestly launch the education and rectification campaign for the discipline inspection and supervision cadre team. They should adopt the most clear-cut stance, the strongest measures, and the most decisive actions to firmly investigate and punish “double-faced individuals” and rigorously prevent and combat “darkness under the lamp,” thus striving to build an iron army of discipline inspection and supervision personnel who are loyal, clean, responsible, and courageous and skilled in fighting.

Li Xi pointed out that carrying out educational rectification is an important political task for the current discipline inspection and supervision authorities. We must deeply recognize that the discipline inspection and supervision agencies are the Party’s “discipline force” and a vital force in advancing the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party. They shoulder an important mission and play a significant role in promoting the process of Chinese-style modernization. We must fully appreciate the great significance of conducting educational rectification, consciously undergo profound revolutionary tempering and deep spiritual cleansing, forge political loyalty, eliminate corrupt elements, improve the system of strict management, and enhance our ability to fight. This will ensure that the power entrusted to us by the Party and the people is never abused, that the sword of punishing evil and promoting good remains forever sharp and untarnished, and that we truly reassure the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping and win the satisfaction of the people.

Li Xi emphasized that the educational rectification effort must organically integrate stringent requirements with practical measures, strengthen ideological purity through education, purify and streamline organizational structures, wield the knife inward to remove corrupt elements, and enhance competence, responsibility, and action-oriented performance. We must uphold strictness as the top priority and maintain rigor throughout the entire process, facing problems head-on and tackling them with real seriousness and determination. We must adhere to seeking truth from facts and maintaining objectivity and fairness, learning from past mistakes to prevent recurrence and treating illnesses while saving people. We must lead by example at all levels and promote progress in a coordinated, tiered manner. We must grasp learning and education as the fundamental cornerstone—studying and thoroughly digesting designated materials such as the report of the 20th National Congress of the Party and authoritative reference books—to deeply comprehend the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments,” bolster our “Four Consciousnesses,” firmly uphold our “Four Confidences,” and ensure we “Two Safeguards.” We must focus intently on inspection and rectification—the critical link—comprehensively clearing out and addressing all leads, proactively and honestly disclosing issues, rigorously and seriously cleansing our ranks, and forcefully pushing forward targeted rectifications, ensuring that stringent requirements are effectively communicated to every discipline inspection and supervision cadre. Finally, we must seize the key of consolidation and enhancement—solidifying the good experiences and practices developed during the rectification effort through institutional mechanisms, further strengthening standardized, rule-of-law-based, and formalized construction, and fostering a regular, long-term mechanism for strict management and governance.

Li Xi emphasized that the educational rectification campaign is being carried out under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee, and it is essential to consistently uphold the Party’s leadership throughout the entire process. We must fully leverage the advantages of political institutions, strengthen organizational leadership, enhance overall planning, emphasize integration and synergy, ensure participation by all personnel and comprehensive coverage, provide tiered and categorized guidance and supervision, prevent campaign-style approaches, avoid “one-size-fits-all” measures, and guarantee tangible and substantive results.
