The Geophysical Exploration Institute Conducts a Focused Study Session on Warning and Educational Activities.
To deliver a high-quality “first lesson” in year-start cautionary education and ensure a solid start toward integrity and廉洁, on February 23, the Geophysical Exploration Institute organized its leadership team members, senior managers, mid-level cadres, and personnel in key positions to collectively study the “Case Study Reader on Violations of Discipline and Law,” compiled by the Party Committee of the Group and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Group. The session was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union.

The discipline inspection officials of the institute, drawing on practical experience, led a study session on the relevant typical cases and examples of disciplinary violations and illegal activities recorded in the warning education reader. They also put forward clear requirements for strengthening discipline education and promoting integrity in professional conduct. They pointed out that “cases are the best textbooks—and also the best ‘wake-up calls.’” The typical cases featured in the warning reader involve people and events that we all know well; using such local cases to educate those around us is particularly impactful. The perpetrators of disciplinary violations and illegal activities have, in their repentance letters, deeply analyzed the process by which they gradually became corrupted and degenerated due to weak ideological defenses and a lack of bottom-line awareness—this analysis is profoundly thought-provoking and serves as a powerful reminder of the realities we face today. All Party members and cadres within the institute must deeply learn from these typical cases, take them as cautionary tales, remain constantly vigilant, and ensure they respect authority, maintain a sense of caution, and stay firmly within the boundaries of what’s acceptable. They must resolutely stand up as staunch defenders of state-owned enterprise management.
Finally, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the Institute, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager, put forward the following requirements: First, focus your mind. Use discipline and responsibility to center yourself, shifting from “holiday mode” to “work mode” and adopting a work attitude that starts with full-speed sprinting to create a fresh momentum right from the outset. Second, get off to a good start. Persistently strengthen and implement党风廉政建设 (integrity and anti-corruption efforts) in a thorough, meticulous, and detailed manner, and enhance the enforcement of existing regulations. Third, do a good job. Party members and cadres must uphold integrity, maintain high ethical standards, strictly fulfill their duties, perform their jobs conscientiously, and go all out to achieve the annual goals and tasks.
