From October 19 to 22, the Joint Academic Annual Conference of China’s Earth Sciences, co-organized by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, was successfully held in Chengdu. As an influential academic exchange platform in China’s earth sciences field, this year’s conference brought together thousands of experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises across the country, who engaged in in-depth discussions around core topics such as “Deep Earth Exploration and Resource Security.” Through a dual-track approach—featuring invited keynote speeches and showcases of research achievements—the Institute of Geophysical Exploration systematically presented breakthroughs in geological exploration technology and the practical application results in industry. Thanks to its solid technological foundation and proven track record, the Institute garnered widespread attention and recognition from the attending experts and scholars.

Also in attendance were Zhang Qingsong, Head of the Mineral Technology Department of the Group; leaders of the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society; members of the leadership team of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration; and heads of relevant departments.

On October 12, to advance the special campaign "Year of Capability Enhancement," the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, as a founding organization of the Sichuan Geophysical Society, successfully hosted the second meeting of the first membership congress of the Sichuan Geophysical Society in a hybrid “online + offline” format.
