Safety Production Month | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Conducts Specialized Training on the 2026 Safety Checklist, Radiation Safety, and Operating Procedures
To ensure the solid implementation of all activities for the 2026 “Work Safety Month,” in alignment with the deployment of inspection‑and‑rectification efforts, and by focusing on key weak links in safety management, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized a special training session titled “In‑Depth Insights: Geophysical Exploration Lecture Series—Safety Checklists, Radiation Safety, and Operating Procedures” on June 11. The training was conducted in a hybrid format, combining on‑site attendance with video conferencing, to ensure full participation by all project personnel, both indoors and outdoors.
This training program is closely aligned with the practical needs of geophysical field operations, featuring a comprehensive curriculum and detailed content. The course includes expert instruction on radiation safety and protection from the Provincial Radiation Monitoring Center, as well as a briefing by specialists from the Group’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department on the production safety checklist, clearly defining the safety responsibilities and authorities of each position and refining the standards for identifying and addressing potential hazards. In addition, instructors systematically cover key safety management points for specialized tasks such as seismic exploration, wide-area projects, electromagnetic method operations, and off‑site vehicle traffic, ensuring full coverage of all high‑risk operational processes within the company’s core business areas.
Going forward, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration will organize all work teams to conduct second‑round training and briefings, ensuring that learning is put into practice. It will rigorously enforce safety checklists and operating procedures, institutionalize routine risk self‑inspections and corrective actions, resolutely prevent non‑compliant operations, and comprehensively strengthen the safety production safeguards to ensure the steady and orderly progress of all projects.
