To enthusiastically celebrate the 116th International Women’s Day on March 8, and to thoroughly implement the deployment of the institute’s “15th Five-Year” development plan, on March 6, the Trade Union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized a special themed event titled “Striving for New Achievements in the ‘15th Five-Year’ Plan” to mark International Women’s Day. Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, and Xia Jing, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, extended their best wishes to all female employees of the institute and jointly celebrated this special occasion.

On the Zhongjiashan Forest Trail in Chengdu, female employees strode confidently along the winding path. Immersed in the vitality and energy of nature, they not only got a great workout and relieved work-related stress but also strengthened their bonds by walking side by side.

Following the conclusion of the hiking event, the “Rule of Law Escorts—Worry-Free for Women” legal education lecture for female employees was held as scheduled. The company’s legal department focused on hot topics related to the protection of female employees’ rights and closely examined relevant laws and regulations such as the Civil Code and the Law on the Protection of Women’s Rights and Interests. Through case analyses and straightforward interpretations of legal provisions, the lecture highlighted key legal knowledge frequently of concern to women, including workplace rights, marital and family matters, and personal safety. During the event, the company’s trade union presented each female employee with a book titled “Legal Guide for Women,” organized on-site reading sessions, and facilitated exchanges of reading insights, further enhancing participants’ awareness of the rule of law and their ability to protect themselves.

Flowers bloom at our fingertips, and craftsmanship weaves dreams. At the hands-on DIY event, a warm and inviting atmosphere immediately enveloped everyone. The female employees transformed into “handcraft masters,” ingeniously combining daffodils with mirror lamp bases. After careful and meticulous creation, one exquisite little nightlight after another—with unique designs and soft, gentle lighting—began to take shape. The scene was filled with a profound sense of accomplishment and happiness, showcasing the diverse talents and joyful spirit of the female staff at the Geophysical Exploration Institute.

This special “March 8” themed event is a concrete manifestation of the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s care and concern for its female employees, and also a vivid practice that inspires all female staff to stay committed to their posts and achieve outstanding accomplishments. Participants unanimously expressed that they would take this event as an opportunity to bravely shoulder heavy responsibilities and forge ahead with determination on the new journey of the Institute’s “15th Five-Year Plan,” contributing even more feminine wisdom and strength to the Institute’s high-quality development.
