On September 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a briefing session on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee and the Third-Quarter 2024 Staff Meeting via video conference. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager. More than 60 participants, including all staff and workers in Chengdu and members of the field project teams, attended the meeting.
The meeting conveyed the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, reported on the completion status of the geophysical exploration institute’s production and business targets for the third quarter, summarized the work done in areas such as project advancement, safe production, technological innovation, talent development, Party building, and integrity-building within the Party, and outlined plans and made arrangements for the fourth quarter.
The meeting emphasized the need to continuously advance the “Three Transformations and Three Enhancements” special campaign, the “Integrity Cells” initiative, and the action to standardize and normalize Party building—these “three initiatives”—to ensure they are thoroughly implemented and yield tangible results. We must further liberate our minds, deepen reform, and improve our work style, thereby enhancing our market awareness, boosting the quality and efficiency of our work, and strengthening our execution capabilities. We should optimize internal management by further refining the exploration institute’s internal management system, streamlining management processes, and improving management efficiency. We must also strengthen external operations, actively expand into new markets, explore new business areas and market opportunities, and drive the continuous and rapid development of the exploration institute. Moreover, we need to increase investment in scientific research, through both引进 and independent R&D, to continuously build a core technology and service team that gives the exploration institute a competitive edge in the market and meets the diverse needs of our clients.
At the meeting, representatives from the management department, the production department, and the project department delivered work reports. Members of the institute’s leadership team also delivered remarks based on their respective areas of responsibility.
