On August 21, the “Wide-Area Electromagnetic Fracturing Monitoring Project” undertaken by the Geophysical Exploration Institute—covering wells ZI-227, WEI-219, and RONG-239—successfully passed the acceptance review conducted by the Southwest Oil & Gas Field Development Division.

At the meeting, the project leader provided a detailed report on the key monitoring challenges encountered during the fracturing process of oil and gas wells, covering the project implementation process, monitoring results, and data analysis. Through the analysis of individual well data from three wells as well as comprehensive comparative analysis, the project leader comprehensively summarized and presented the achievements of wide-area electromagnetic fracturing monitoring.

After listening to the briefing, the acceptance expert panel highly praised the geophysical exploration institute’s technical capabilities and work achievements. They noted that the project has achieved multiple technological innovations in the field of wide-area electromagnetic fracturing monitoring, providing strong support for the exploration and development of oil and gas resources by the Southwest Oil & Gas Field Development Division. The expert panel expressed their hope that the geophysical exploration institute will continue to actively promote its achievements to even higher levels and provide even better services to boost shale gas production.

Plant water chestnuts in deep waters and rice in shallow waters—each specific issue calls for a specific analysis. Based on the varying needs of different client entities, the Geophysical Exploration Institute actively adjusts its monitoring implementation strategies. There is no one-size-fits-all optimal solution in geophysical exploration; rather, the best approach is one that is tailored to local conditions and custom-designed to meet the specific requirements of each client. In the future, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to diligently pursue differentiated approaches to address the unique needs of our clients, adhering to the development philosophy of "technological innovation, quality first, and service paramount," and steadily driving innovation and application in oil and gas exploration and development technologies.
