Good News | The Institute of Geophysical Exploration Has Once Again Obtained an Invention Patent and Software Copyright.
Recently, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has been granted two additional national intellectual property rights: an invention patent titled “Magnetic Rod Attitude Adjustment Device, Its Usage Method, and Manufacturing Method,” and a software copyright titled “Shale Gas Platform Electromagnetic Survey Line Layout System.” With these latest additions, the Institute now holds a total of five invention patents and nine software copyrights.
The invention patent obtained this time pertains to the field of geophysical exploration. The R&D background is that, during the implementation of magnetotelluric sounding, the deployment of magnetic rods in the field relies primarily on auxiliary equipment such as directional compasses and levels. The orientation of the magnetic rods needs to be adjusted repeatedly, a process that is cumbersome, time-consuming, and labor-intensive, thereby lowering construction efficiency. Moreover, burying magnetic rods often requires damaging the ground surface, making it impossible to meet the requirements of cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and environmental friendliness.
Addressing the shortcomings of low efficiency in magnetic rod orientation adjustment and the need for improved environmental friendliness, this invention patent provides a magnetic rod orientation adjustment device for magnetotelluric sounding. By using this device, ground damage is avoided, the time required for field deployment of magnetic rods is significantly reduced, and construction efficiency is greatly enhanced.
The software for which copyright has been obtained this time can be used to lay out survey lines within the work area by specifying relevant parameters such as initial point coordinates, azimuth angle, trace spacing, and number of measurement points. After determining the survey lines, a coordinate file containing point numbers corresponding to each survey line can be exported. This file can be directly imported into RTK surveying instruments, making it convenient for field measurements and stakeout operations.
In recent years, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has steadily increased its investment in scientific research, actively promoted technological innovation, and introduced relevant reward systems, thereby greatly boosting employees’ enthusiasm for filing applications for technological achievements. As of January 2023, the institute has obtained 5 invention patents, 13 utility model patents, and 9 software copyrights. With a substantial patent portfolio now in place, these patented achievements have further enhanced the company’s core competitiveness and provided robust technological support for the high-quality development of Sichuan’s resource exploration sector.
