Scientific research continues to gain momentum, and project approvals move forward with unwavering determination.
In accordance with the scientific research work plan, the 2022 annual review meeting for the approval of science and technology innovation projects of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration was successfully held in Chengdu on July 26. Li Shirong, a member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of the Group, along with relevant leaders and experts from the Department of Science and Technology Innovation and the Department of Financial Management, attended the meeting. A number of industry experts from the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Geological Survey, Chengdu University of Technology, and China Railway Second Institute Engineering Group Co., Ltd. also participated in the review.
At the review meeting, the heads of each proposed research project gave detailed reports on aspects such as the project overview, implementation conditions, and schedule plans.
The experts attending the meeting, drawing on both domestic and international research trends, offered their review comments and suggestions regarding the project’s innovative aspects, technical challenges, and economic benefits. They concluded that the project’s objectives are accurately defined, focusing squarely on the core competencies of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, and are supported by robust scientific theories. The research content is specific and well-defined, the research methods are highly practical, and the project holds significant importance for guiding real-world geophysical exploration production. After careful questioning, discussion, and scoring, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the two projects—“Application Research on Wide-Field Electromagnetic Method in Electrical Property Detection of Shale Gas in Southern Sichuan” and “Application Research on Combined Electromagnetic Exploration Technology for Complex Geological Conditions at Shale Gas Platforms”—could be approved for implementation.
In recent years, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has leveraged its projects as a platform to delve into cutting-edge technologies in the industry, deepen exchanges within the geophysical exploration sector, and encourage top-notch talents to simultaneously focus on production and research. As a result, the institute has achieved abundant scientific research outcomes, using technology to drive upgrading and transformation. Its core technologies have gradually become more prominent, providing strong impetus for the organization’s high-quality development to reach new heights.
